The frame garage was constructed by the Turner Family in 1945 and replaced a blacksmith shop built by Bill Turner in the 1920s. The lumber used in the construction of this building was milled by Bill Turner at his sawmill located in Buena Vista. By 1945, Bill Turner had retired as a blacksmith and was closing down his milling operation. The garage still retains its original doors and windows and was never plumbed.
